Separated at birth, NCAA style

by Adam Bartel 3/21/2008 11:52:00 PM

Here are some participants in day 2 of the NCAA tournament that I noticed bore more than a little resemblance to celebrities of some level:

Davidson's Stephen Curry, and poker professional Phil Ivey

Georgetown's Jonathan Wallace, and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Butler's Matt Howard, and MTV's Gauntlet Series' Evan Starkman

Western Kentucky's Ty Rogers, and former Indiana University star Tom Coverdale

North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough, and WWE's Mike "The Miz" Mizanin

Siena coach Fran McCaffery, and U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

And finally, CBS' Billy Packer, and the Cloverfield monster

good stuff Adam. Am I old if I don't know what MTV's Gauntlet is?

In my haste to post last night, I forgot to credit two of the matches. The Rogers one was courtesy of The Meaningful Collateral, and the Packer one came from Awful Announcing. The others were original.

You're probably better off not knowing the Gauntlet, I spend too much time trying to make myself feel like I'm younger than 35. It's a competition show between former Real World & Road Rules participants, plus a few viewer favorites.
