Billy G has made it clear that the Kentucky bench will look very different next year than what he has to work with in his first year.
Gone to graduation will be Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford who for the most part are starting to play the kind of ball that Billy wants them to play.
Junior Jared Carter never has and never will be a player that UK can count on so don't be surprised if Gillispie suggests he find somewhere else to call home.
Other than Jodie Meeks and Derrick Jasper there isn't really anyone in the sophomore class that will ever be DIV I talent. However Perry Stevenson is starting to toughen up and play better.
Patrick Patterson is a clear "Man-Child" as a freshman and UK fans hope he stays at least three years. AJ Stewart has a lot of talent but has yet to learn the offense and defense well enough to find playing time but he will be back.
Recruits Darius Miller from Maysville, KY (same place Tubby told all time 3-point shooter Chris Lofton that he wasn't good enough for UK) and DeAndre Liggins from Nevada should make an instant impact next year.
With that said, don't be surprised if the following players aren't on the bench next season.
Jared Carter - always injured and when he does play he is too soft and slow in the middle
Mark Coury - Decent DIV II player but not what UK needs in the paint
Mark Krebs - Practice squad material but nothing more
Dusty Mill - Has a WWF wrestler's name but doesn't have the heigth or talent to even be on the practic squad. Nice young man though.
Dwight Perry - Cousin of Bobby Perry and that is where the similiarity of any basketball skill ends.
