No-one is openly saying the Cats have a chance but wishful thinking and crossed fingers have everyone in the Wildcat nation hoping the ball bounces their way this week and if it does it could completely change a season that was written off as a total bust in December.
Kentucky trails Tennessee by two games in the SEC Eastern Division.
Tennessee is coming off a huge win over Memphis on Saturday night and might be primed for an upset themselves when they have to travel to Vanderbilt where the Commodores haven't lost at home this year and have pummeled their opponents.
Kentucky needs to get past Ole Miss who seems to have lost their ability to even dribble the ball as of late and a win would set up a game in Knoxville on Sunday against the Vols for UK where if they were to win they would be tied for first.
Will it happen? Probably not but at least UK fans have a reason to be exited in March when in December it looked like the season was a complete loss.
