NFL Playoffs open thread

Now that that's out of the way, could the Jags have made any more mistakes to help out the Pats (who don't need much help)?  Were you as convinced as I was that the Garrard TD pass video was going to be analyzed more than the Zapruder film if the Pats lost?  Was last night the last time we'll see Shaun Alexander in the playoffs?  Do the Chargers have a chance if Antonio Gates doesn't play today?  Can the Cowboys hold off the Giants with a semi-healthy T.O.?

It's all about you, make your calls.

I love the way the Packers are playing right now. I called it on GetSportsRadio.com's Pro Football Face-Off that Grant would have a big day as the Packers roll and he did just that. The Giants' win over Dallas on Sunday only makes Green Bay's chances better.

I think the whole country (outside of the Northeast) will pulling for the Packers when they get to the Super Bowl against New England. How can you not pull for Favre one more time. The guy is simply the best. I don't believe there's been an athlete in my generation that I've marveled more. I don't and never have had a single negative thing to say about him. I just love the way he plays the game.
And how the hell did Indy lose that game? No LT, almost no Gates and limited Rivers. Manning throws 400 yards, 3 TDs and they lose? Huh? Absolutely bizarre. Poor Jessica Simpson, undoubtedly the media will blame Romo for the loss and thus blame Jessica. To that I ask two questions, one, don't you think it was the O-Line that let Romo down and the defense as well? And two, what heterosexual man would choose watching film on a team he was already familiar with, over a Mexican romp with Jessica? I wouldn't want a guy who was that bad of a decision maker on my team, that's for sure.

Jimmy, I think that man who would make the choice of watching film would be Peyton Manning. And that didn't exactly work out very well for him either, so why not then go to Mexico and get it on with old Jessica, might as well enjoy yourself if the end result is going to be the same anyways. Works for me too.

If it's GB vs. NE in the Super Bowl, it'll practically be a home game for the Packers. Between all the fans rooting for Favre + against the Pats, what do you think the percentage of people on Green Bay's side will be? 80%? 90%?
